- The annual DRS open day returned to Kingmoor for 2009 and the decent weather came along too, despite fears of showers!

Plenty of locos on display, including non-DRS 50049 and 47739 currently taking temorary residence at Kingmoor. Also the naming of 37423 and 47790, including the nice touch of renumbering back to its previous 47593 ( albeit only for the open day ) when first named as an Eastfield loco.

As usual, well done to DRS for an exellent open day which hopefully raised a lot of money for charities in the Carlisle area

DB Schenker kindly supplied 66144, 67008, LoadHaul 60059 and - in my opinion - star of the show 37425 ( I make no appologies for it appearing many times in the gallery ! ) Even the monsoon conditions of Saturday and my car breaking down ( took 3 RAC mechanics at one point ) did not spoil an excellent weekend in Norfolk
